Stove & Range Repair in Naples, FL

A range combines your cooktop and oven in one unit, which means more things that can go wrong. Gas burners that click but will not light, electric burners that do not heat, an oven that will not reach temperature, or a control panel that has gone dark — we see it all. We repair freestanding, slide-in, and drop-in ranges from every brand, gas and electric. Our technicians carry igniters, elements, switches, and other common range parts to complete most repairs in a single visit.

Gas Burner and Ignition Issues

A gas cooktop burner that clicks continuously but does not light usually has moisture or food debris around the igniter electrode. Cleaning the area around the electrode and making sure the burner cap is seated properly often resolves it. If the burner does not click at all, the spark module or igniter switch may have failed.

When one burner works but another does not, the igniter switch for that specific burner is the likely culprit. The spark module sends voltage to all igniters simultaneously, but each has its own switch that activates when you turn the knob. A failed switch means no spark at that burner.

Gas burners that light but produce a weak, uneven, or yellow flame may have a clogged burner port, a misaligned burner cap, or a gas pressure issue. We clean burner assemblies and check gas pressure as part of our range service.

Electric Burner and Element Failures

On a traditional coil-element range, a burner that does not heat usually has a burned-out element or a failed burner receptacle (the socket the element plugs into). Both are inexpensive and quick to replace. On smooth-top (glass-ceramic) ranges, the radiant element under the glass can burn out or the element limiter can trip. We test elements and their circuits to find the failure.

Induction ranges have a different failure mode — the induction coil under the glass generates a magnetic field, and if the coil or its control board fails, the burner will not heat. Induction ranges also require compatible cookware, and we occasionally get calls where the "problem" is simply the wrong pan.

Range Control Panel and Oven Section

The oven section of a range shares the same failure modes as a standalone wall oven: igniter failure (gas), bake/broil element burnout (electric), temperature sensor issues, and control board problems. Refer to our oven repair page for detailed oven-specific information.

The control panel on a range can fail in several ways: the display goes blank, buttons stop responding, or the clock and timer work but the oven controls do not. A blown thermal fuse on the board, a failed user interface, or a bad ribbon cable connection between the interface and the main board are common causes.
